Government Camp Wedding with Stunning Views of Mount Hood

From the moment I arrived at Government Camp, I knew Kevin and Kat's wedding would be something truly special. I always enjoy photographing weddings, but seeing my clients genuinely having fun on their big day made this experience even more delightful. Kevin and Kat certainly did it right, creating an unforgettable celebration for themselves and their guests.

The adventure began as guests were whisked up the slopes on a ski lift to the historic warming hut where Kat was getting ready. The breathtaking views of Mount Hood in the background set the stage for the day's events and added a touch of awe to the proceedings.

Kevin and I took another ski lift ride to a higher elevation, where we awaited Kat's arrival for their first look. Watching Kat ascend the lift solo to meet Kevin was a moment filled with anticipation and emotion. The images from their first look are some of my favorites, with Mount Hood standing majestically in the background, adding a sense of grandeur to the intimate moment.

After capturing some romantic photos in a nearby forest, the three of us made our way back down for the wedding ceremony. The joy and love were palpable as Kevin and Kat exchanged vows, surrounded by their family and friends.

Post-ceremony, we gathered everyone for family and bridal party photos, but the fun didn't stop there. In a unique twist, the bride, groom, and bridal party rode down the mountain to the reception tent via bobsled! It was an exhilarating and memorable way to transition from the ceremony to the celebration.

I've never attended a wedding quite like this one. It was truly one of a kind, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been a part of Kevin and Kat’s extraordinary day. Their joy and love radiated throughout the entire celebration, making it an event that I—and everyone else in attendance—will never forget.
